Reviews for Airwoman
Alli Chang “I liked the pacing of the book. Sometimes it would be a little slow and dragging, but the world and character building was amazing. The descriptions were so vivid- it was like I was there with Jade experiencing everything that she experiences. I was reading the first have of the book slowly and then when I reached the middle I couldn’t put it down. I really wanted to know what happened with Jade. I will definitely read the next book when it comes out to find out what happens next.”
“I loved the world that Jade lived in. There were so many parts that were fantasy and I wanted to compare it to another series, but I have not read a lot of books like Airwoman. I loved the different people that were depicted in the story. I really wanted to know more about them and see them more.”
“AIRWOMAN was very easy to follow and I often forgot that it was in a fantasy type of world. It is a fast paced story that keeps you guessing as you read. Personally, I really liked how it was so easy to read and understand. I was able to visualize all of the places that Jade was because of Zara’s writing. Sometimes I find that with fantasy world building I am forget to read the setting details. Zara’s writing is so easy to follow and keeps you wanting to know more. I am excited to see what happens next in this series!”

Sarah “I was really happy to have won this book in a giveaway and was really pleased with the handwritten card inside the book, as well as a personalised message on the first page.
“The story itself is one I love and I quickly got lost in the Dragonverse world. It had such unique aspects of the story and I could hardly put the book down. I loved the pace of the book as well as the main character, Jade. She is determined and independent and it was always interesting to see what she would do next. A gut instinct early on gave me an ‘I knew it’ moment at the end of the book, but it was wonderfully written and I cannot wait to get lost in the next installment of the series.
“Thank you Zara Quentin for the wonderful book and lovely message and I cannot wait to find out what happens next.”
Shaughna “This is not the type of book I normally read, but it was free. So I got it and read it. I was pleasantly surprised. I truly enjoyed this story. Jade’s inner strength and commitment to her father and doing what is right was beautiful to see.”
Anna O “I loved this heroine. The world building is well crafted and I was engrossed in the story. Immerse yourself in this world and enjoy fantasy with lots of action, suspense and a touch of romance.”
The Mysterious Amazon Customer “Once I saw “cross-portal trading company” I knew I had to get this book. Turns out though that’s not what made me stay. The main character Jade’s growth and maturization was wonderfully done and compelling to read, especially in a book so full of action, adventure, intrigue, betrayal and potential. Zara Quentin had created a wonderful world for her characters to play out their roles, and done an excellent job in having her characters do just that. I look forward to seeing where she will take them next. In the meantime, I strongly recommend this book.”
Marie Angeline “4.5 stars/5. I really liked this book, it was quite slow at the beginning and a little confusing too but I think it’s normal since it’s set on a world that I’ve never heard of. The character, Jade, was a little annoying at the end (sorry, Jade), but it made her real and I really appreciated how she grew as the story went. There’s character development, a good story, a wonderful and original world, and good writing! Why does this book not have more recognition? This book seriously needs more recognition. I didn’t expect it to be so good and I am impressed. I put if off for sooo long and I wish I had read it earlier.”
Nicole “I absolutely loved Airwoman, it was unique and interesting and action packed. The book was fast paced and hard to put down, and the characters were all so different yet just as important as each other. I can’t wait for the release of the second book in this series.”
GWD “A real good story. I enjoyed reading it. I was able to visualize the places the characters traveled to and the events taken place. It is like you are in front of them and living the events with them.”
Amazon Customer “Enjoyable story. Hard to put down.”
Sunglasslady19 “Airwoman is what jade wanted to be. But with the death of her brother she needed to be trained to lead the family firm. But the unexpected murder of her father happened everything change. She found out the hard way that her heroes were flawed and she is forced to correct the awful wrong done to another people. There are many people involved in this story and until the end you still aren’t sure who the bad guys are. It unfolds in so many layers you are kept enthralled from first to last.”
Missy “You won’t be disappointed it is Excellent!”
Amazon Customer “I wasn’t sure that I was going to like this book, but as I got into it, I was hooked. The descriptive passages are good and the story line interesting. More please.”
Brooke “Loved the characters and the story line kept you guessing! I couldn’t stop reading! Can’t wait for the next book!”
Forever Lost in Literature “Airwoman is easily one of the more unique fantasy novels that I’ve read this year, and I am excited to share this book with all of you. When I started reading Airwoman, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. Was it going to be like a ‘superhero’ story? An action adventure? Or something else entirely? But I was intrigued by the premise and the fact that the people in this book had wings and could fly (not to mention the wonderful cover, as well!), so I accepted this book to review in order to find out more. and I was very pleasantly surprised by what I ended up reading.
“First off, this is a great adventure book, and I definitely felt entertained for a majority of the book. The beginning portion felt like it moved slightly slow at times, but it definitely picks up and turns into quite an adventurous journey. The pacing seems consistent throughout, though it can seem as if it is a bit on the slow side at times — but this never lasts for long.
“I thought Jade was a really well-written character, and I found that she was able to explore herself throughout the course of this novel. She is initially a rather obedient, meek girl. I could see hints of her more confident, potentially rebellious side, but for the most part she didn’t really act out in any way. But as the story progressed, more aspects of Jade’s personality begin to emerge, and I was excited to discover a stronger, more confident side of her. Her father’s death is tragic and shocking, and I felt that Jade’s reaction to his death and her subsequent actions fit really well with the events that took place.
“Quentin’s writing style is easy to follow, but this does not in any way mean she is lacking in talent or execution. Descriptions are all done in a manner that is informative, but not overly wordy, and the settings are all described in a manner that really allowed me to imagine the worlds created by the author.”
Susan Graham “I’m only a casual fan of fantasy, but Airwoman drew me in and kept me reading. The characters are intriguing and relatable, and the world the author built is beautifully crafted and thoroughly believable. I really liked this book and am looking forward to the next instalment.”
Donald “I loved this book. The characters are well defined and I found it very original. It is a fast paced high action adventure. It puts a young girl into doing what is right at jeopardizing her family’s safety. Her budding romance has taking control over a very introverted young man. I believe with the next installment that Axel will be a great hero also. A book well worth reading.”
Schuyler Cox “Zara Quentin’s writing style of Airwoman reminds me of books by Robert Jordan or Kristen Britain, the thought provoking character developments and plot developments kept you inquiring what was on the next and then the next pages. If I had a 9 to 5 job, I would be taking sick days to binge read Airwoman. Airwoman was a real treat to read, a great page turner and with that in mind I can’t wait until the sequel comes out.
Adam “Such a fun, exciting read! Can’t wait for the next instalment!”
David White “This is one of those books that is plain enjoyable to read. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand it, you just get into the book and go with it.”
Don “I found this book totally intriguing. It is a fast pace high adventure romance. The action never stops. Jade is the heroine and Axel is a big introvert that has a lot of potential to shine. I think the characters were well developed and definitely have there own personality. Jade is just coming into a person of leadership and has a lot of stumbling blocks to get over to her full potential. Book two will lead our heroes to other mishaps, and I for one am looking forward to that adventure.”
Inky Wings “If you’re looking for a story which hooks you from the start, sweeps you away to another world and temporarily gives you wings, this is the book you’ve been looking for!”
M. Hughes “I will admit straight up that I have never been an avid reader of fantasy. But when I was given the opportunity to be one of the beta readers for this book prior to its release, I thought, “Why not? Maybe this will be a pleasant surprise.” And was it ever! Quentin’s skill at creating memorable characters that I truly cared about, as well as an entirely original “Dragonverse” absolutely drew me in and kept me engaged from page one. I am still the only person on the planet that has never read Harry Potter…but I will continue following the adventures of Jade and her fellow Taraqans, because “Airwoman” is just that good.”
K. Barnes “Airwoman started a little slow for me, but I understand “setting the stage” so to speak. By about the third chapter it really drew me in and I enjoyed reading this book. Looking forward to more!”
